Troubleshooting a product that's not working

Troubleshooting & Technical Assistance:
With a new product, often it may take some time to familiarize yourself with how it works and the way it works. Many problems you may face may be due to configuration rather than a faulty product. While Scorptec does pride ourselves in our warranty service, often replacing the product with a new one will yield the same result until the time is taken to configure it in the right way.

These types of problems can typically be resolved with troubleshooting advice. Scorptec are happy to offer general advice on the nature of our products, but due to the wide range of brands and products Scorptec carries, our staff may miss out on some intricacies of each product. Most brands, however may be able to provide specific and in-depth troubleshooting advice for their specific products.

Prior to contacting anyone, we recommend first becoming familiar with the information that the manufacturer publishes on their website and documentation. Once that information is exhausted, we recommend contacting the manufacturer directly for troubleshooting assistance. They are typically more familiar with the intricacies and operation of all their products. Additionally, they have access to a large range of technologies and solutions that are designed specifically for their products.

Contact details for all our major manufacturers can be found in the drop down menu, here.

The Product Needs to be Returned:
Troubleshooting advice is unable to resolve the problem and you suspect the product is faulty (or otherwise needs to be returned), they may organise for you to return it directly to the their authorized repair center. Often processing a claim directly with the manufacturer offers a faster and easier turnaround - some manufacturers will even send a courier to pick up and drop off a new item.

Otherwise, they may direct you to return your goods back to us and may be able to provide a reference number that will allow us to confirm all of the steps you have already taken with their advice. We recommend reading our advice on how to return a product to Scorptec.
