Given the uncertainty and the potential for extended delays, we believe it would be unfair to keep orders pending indefinitely. Therefore, we have made the decision to cancel any orders which were unable to secure stock allocation from our existing on-hand inventory.

When you place an order on our website, the stock is allocated to your order after the order has been successfully placed and paid for, not only when the product has been added to cart.
99.99% of the time this is not an issue, as it is rare that multiple people are all trying to buy a 10 Pack of Ethernet Wall Plates at the same time.
However on these rare frenzied launches, as there are hundreds (or even thousands) of people attempting to purchase the same products almost simultaneously, this can mean that while some users manage to โcompleteโ their orders while the item is โstillโ actually in stock, others may start the checkout process, but only complete their order once the item has already sold out.

Our website is designed to only allow customers to order products that we have in stock or confirmed enroute from our supplier.
When functioning normally (as it has done for many years), once this number hits 0, the product switches to SOLD OUT preventing any further orders from being placed.
In a recent update to our website this functionality became unstuck, and allowed more orders to be placed than we had stock. This issue only affected a small number of skus, but attracted a large volume of over-orders.
We are currently investigating this issue and our development team is working on a fix.
